2021 Bowman Inception Preview

We’ve already seen one Inception product so far this year, but there’s another one coming down the pike on the other end of the calendar.  Topps has announced it’s bringing back the Bowman-branded version just as the season wraps up.  After a multi-year break, 2021 Bowman Inception will mark a return to the baseball card lineup, with a release date of November 3.

2021 Bowman Inception Configuration and Base Set

BI will be a one pack per hobby box product, with each carrying seven cards, all featuring young prospects:  2 autographs, 4 base cards and one foil parallel.  Cases will hold 16 boxes.

The cards will be printed on foil stock with 100 MLB players on the checklist. Topps is touting a new “Inception Introductions” cards that will mark a player’s first appearance on a Bowman product.

All but one of the parallels will be numbered, all to less than 100 including:

Aqua Foil Parallel -unnumbered
Blue Foil Parallel – #’d to 99
Fuchsia Foil Parallel – #’d to 75
Gold Foil Parallel – #’d to 50
Orange Foil Parallel – #’d to 25
Red Foil #1 Parallel – #’d to 5
Red Foil #2 Parallel – #’d to 5
Inception FoilFractor Parallel – #’d 1-of-1
Printing Plates – #’d 1-of-1

Autographs

The autograph lineup is fairly simple, with low serial numbers across the board.  Inception Autographs are the “base” with these parallels set to be in the lineup:

Blue Foil Parallel – #’d to 99
Fuchsia Foil Parallel – #’d to 75
Gold Foil Parallel – #’d to 50
Orange Foil Parallel – #’d to 25
Red Foil Parallel – #’d to 5
Inception FoilFractor Parallel – #’d 1-of-1

Short Print Inception Autographs numbered to 10 are also planned.

Inception Silver Signings Autographs is another design where you’ll find player signatures.

Look for two parallels there including Gold Rainbow Foils that will be numbered to either 25 or 1/1.

Primordial Prospects Autographs is the third possibility.

Those will have five different parallel versions:

Blue Foil Parallel – #’d to 75
Gold Foil Parallel – #’d to 50
Orange Foil Parallel – #’d to 25
Red Foil Parallel – #’d to 5
Inception FoilFractor Parallel – #’d 1-of-1
