2021 Panini Encased Football Preview

We’ll still be seeing new NFL trading cards just prior to this year’s draft and one of those springtime product releases will be 2021 Panini Encased Football.

Encased draws its name from the single Beckett graded card that’s in each box.  In addition to that centerpiece, there will be an additional autograph, two memorabilia cards and one base card.

Here’s a breakdown of what to expect when Encased arrives on April 13 (subject to change):

Base Set

Panini plans a 100-card base set for Encased with parallel versions that include:

Base Sapphire #’d /25
Base Gold #’d /10
Base Emerald #’d /5
Base Diamond #’d 1/1
Base Autograph max #’d /20

Autographs

There will also be autographed versions of the base cards.

Rookie Notable Signatures will feature autographs from the likes of Trevor Lawrence, Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Fields.

Rookie Cap Patch Autographs will showcase on-card autographs from the NFL’s top rookies with cap pieces.

In addition, there are several other autographed subsets in the works including on-card autographs in BGS graded cards carrying brands like Reserve Signatures, Superscribe Signatures (veterans), Legendary Signatures (past greats), Rookie Endorsements, Rookie Dual Swatch Signatures, Scripted Signatures and HOF Material Signatures.

Sapphire Signatures are new and feature “bold metallic blue autograph on a crisp black signing area,” according to Panini.

Among the parallels scheduled to be produced for the various subsets are:
