2021 Topps Chrome Baseball is set to return, as the long-running brand puts a shiny spin on this year’s flagship design. Topps has revealed some details on the annual issue, which has a release date of August 20. A full checklist is available for download below.
2021 Topps Chrome Configurations and Base Set
Once again, look for Chrome to be available in both Hobby and Jumbo form as well as retail packaging. Hobby boxes will have 24 packs with four cards in each while Jumbos will carry 13 including a guaranteed Refractor parallel. Hobby boxes have two autographs while Jumbos carry five signed cards inside.
The base set will again be a mix of cards from Series 1 and 2 with a checklist of 200 veterans and rookies. Topps will dip into the digital paint can for some new parallels in 2021. Here’s a list of them:

Look for image variations for some of the base set cards when the checklist is released closer to release day. Those, too, will have parallel versions:

• SuperFractor – #’d 1-of-1
Super Short Prints will be possible as well, but Topps didn’t release any details on those (see the checklist which will be added below once it’s released in July).
Inserts
New inserts for 2021 Topps Chrome include Future Stars, Beisbol and 1986 Topps Baseball (1:6 packs). All three will have these parallels:
• Green Refractor – #’d to 99
• Gold Refractor – #’d to 50
• Orange Refractor – #’d to 25
• Red Refractor – #’d to 5
• SuperFractor – #’d 1-of-1
Also new are Prismic Power, a colorful insert that will be found one per hobby box and have a smaller roster of parallel versions:

Autographs
Rookie Autographs will be the major attraction for many and there will be a bunch of parallel verions including:

Relics and Autographed Relics
Relic cards are centered around Topps’ endorsement deal with Derek Jeter. Captain’s Cloth Chrome Relics will “celebrate current superstars and historic heroes that represent the heart and soul of their team,” according to Topps.
