2021 Topps Five Star Baseball Preview

Another of Topps’ longest running  all-autograph products is set to make its return in 2021.  Five Star Baseball offers a single two-card pack with all on-card or cut signature autographs.  Each case will carry eight boxes.  The release date is September 1.

Autographs

Five Star Base Autographs will be simple on-card signatures with a checklist of “over 50” according to Topps. Serial numbered cards will include:

• Purple Parallel – #’d to 50
• Blue Parallel – #’d to 25
• Green Parallel – #’d to 15
• Gold Parallel – #’d to 10
• Orange Parallel – #’d to 5
• Red Parallel – #’d 1 of 1

Five Star Dual Autographs will feature two players’ autographs with all numbered to 10 or less while Triple Autographs will be numbered to no more than 5. 

Golden Graphs and Silver Signatures will feature on-card autographs with players signing in gold or silver ink.  They’ll be case hits, numbered to 40 or less. 

Parallels for both include:

• Purple – #’d to 25
• Blue – #’d to 20
• Green – #’d to 15
• Gold – #’d to 10
• Orange – #’d to 5
• Red – #’d 1 of 1

Five Tool Phenom Autographs will be numbered to 25 or less with 1/1 parallel versions.

New this year are Five Stars Autographs, which feature “five players that share a common bond,” according to Topps. Three will be shown on the front with two on the back. They’ll be numbered to 5.

Five Star Signatures will have a checklist of up to 60 MLB greats, with some carrying inscriptions. They’ll be numbered to 20 or less.

Numbered to 25, Five Star Pentamerous Penmanship brings a shadowbox look with 50 top players on the checklist. 

Parallels include:

• Green – #’d to 10
• Gold – #’d to 5
• Orange – #’d to 3
• Red – #’d 1 of 1

There will be dual-player versions numbered to 5 or less.

Cut Signatures

1/1 Cut Signatures of past greats make their return and look for 1/1 Celebrity Cut Signatures, with autographs from the world of popular culture.

Autographed Relics 

Five Star Autographed Jumbo Prime Relic cards will feature past and present stars, with large uniform patch pieces joining the on-card autographs. 

They’ll be numbered to 25 except for:

• Gold Parallel – #’d to 10
• Silver Rainbow – #’d to 5
• Button Parallel – #’d to 5
• Team Patch Parallel – #’d 1 of 1
• MLB Silhouetted Batter Logo Patch Parallel – #’d 1 of 1
• Laundry Tag Patch Parallel – #’d 1 of 1
• Brand Patch Parallel – #’d 1 of 1
