Panini America’s Absolute Football returns in 2022 with another 200-card base set, broken down into two distinct parts. There will be 100 current and former players, and 100 rookie cards.
Absolute currently has a release date of early November.
A Hobby box will feature three packs, with five cards per pack. Panini is also promising three signatures per hobby box, with one of them a Rookie Premier Materials Autograph card.
In addition to the autograph cards, a typical box will include two memorabilia cards, one insert and two parallels. Case hits will feature the return of the super short print Absolute Glass and the short-printed Kaboom insert.
There will be plenty of base set parallels to choose from. In addition to the base and rookie Spectrum cards, parallels can be found in Red (numbered to 100), Orange (75), Blue (50), Green (25), Gold (10), Purple (5) and Black (1/1). There will also be 1/1 Printing Plate cards.
Absolute will have several different inserts this year, including Introductions, By Storm, Draft Diamonds, Star Gazing and Last Call.
The popular Kaboom inserts are back, with artwork showing players celebrating after a big play. There are parallels in Gold (10), Horizontal Gold (10), Green (1/1) and Horizontal Green (1/1).
The super short printed Explosive inserts are also colorful and have hobby exclusive parallels in Gold (10) and Green (1/1).
Absolute Glass returns as advertised; a case hit that has a card etched in glass.
Memorabilia subsets feature Tools of the Trade, a hobby exclusive that also has dual and triple swatch cards.
There is also Historical Duals with parallels in Max (numbered to 25), Gold Max (10), Holo Silver Max (5) and Platinum (1/1).
Autograph cards are plentiful in Absolute, with additional parallels.
Base signatures feature stars and rookies and have parallels in Gold Stars Max (numbered to 10) and Black Galaxy (1/1). For first-year players, collectors can find the Rookie Premiere Materials Autos Max case hit and parallels numbered to 399.
There are also Spectrum Max (99) and 1/1 Tags and Shield cards.
Frequent Flyer Autographs are also included, with Max numbered to 199. Other parallels are featured in Red Max (75), Orange Max (50), Blue Max (35), Green Max (25), Gold Max (10), Purple Max (5) and Black (1/1).
