The next product up in our new series Brief Box Break is the new, shiny– and heavy– 2022 Elements Football.
Each five card box contains one base or rookie metal card, one base or rookie metal parallel, one on card metal autograph as well as one additional auto and one additional memorabilia card.
One of the more original and physically weighty products on the market, Elements offer solid metal cards with all of the bells and whistles of various memorabilia and autographs as icing on the metallic cake ( I don’t suggest eating a metallic cake but that’s up to you).
With only five cards per box, a break doesn’t take long.
The hits start right out of the player tunnel as a Steel Signatures Howie Long on card auto was pulled. The Raiders great and Hall of Famer has a beautiful sig that looks nice on a very appropriate silver and black card.
Right after that we thumbed to the next card and grabbed a Rookie Neon Signs Red auto of Cleveland Browns rookie David Bell.
Not exactly the best option in this particular insert but the 99th overall pick in last spring’s NFL Draft is seeing some action for the Browns and we will now be pulling for the young man moving forward.
The two metal base cards we pulled were two quarterbacks, one of Matt Ryan and the other of Jameis Winston. You can see them below.
Probably the best card in the box was the Supercharged multicolored swatch of New Orleans Saints rookie sensation wide receiver Chris Olave.
It’s a busy yet beautiful three color patch of the star rookie.
That reminds me, I have to insert him in my starting lineup on my fantasy team. He’s been playing like a WR1 albeit from my bench for three weeks now.
At a price tag just north of $250, this was a fun rip but if you’re into flipping not financially beneficial this time around.
