Sports Card Release Calendar: 5/18/22
A couple of baseball products, multiple soccer releases and a pair of basketball issues are among those boxes arriving on the sports card market between now and the end of the month.
Here’s a look at what’s currently scheduled to arrive. As always, it’s subject to change.

2022 Topps Sterling Baseball
Don’t look for this one at your local Target or Walmart. Sterling is a higher end product with each themed box having just a pair of one card packs. One pack will have an autographed relic numbered to 25 or less while the second will have either a second autographed card or a 1/1 relic or autographed relic. The content is a mix of current and former stars.

2022 Topps Gypsy Queen Baseball
A staple on the mid-year calendar, Gypsy Queen is back with its mix of baseball and subjects that have little or nothing to do with the game. A hobby box will contain 24 packs, with eight cards to a pack. Topps is promising two autograph cards and three chrome cards in a typical hobby box.

2021-22 Panini Impeccable Basketball
Among the year’s higher end basketball products, Impeccable hobby boxes offer one pack of nine cards with five autographs, one metal insert and three base or parallel cards.
Among the big hits: NBA Logo and Draft Logo cards with small, thin bars of silver or gold in them.
Boxes are online for around $2,200.
2020-21 Upper Deck Stature Hockey
Yes, that’s “2020-21” Stature Hockey, arriving as the ’21-22 season winds down. Such is life in the sports card world right now. The good news is that Stature has all on-card autographs.
A typical box will have one autograph or autograph patch card, one base rookie, two base veterans or legends, one insert, two parallels (each numbered to less than 100) and an additional rookie, numbered parallel or autograph.
Expect boxes to sell for around $200.
2021-22 Panini Mosaic Premier League Soccer
The EPL gets the Mosaic treatment with the latest pro soccer release. Each box has ten packs with 15 cards per pack.
Look for one autographed card, five base Silver, 15 Mosaic parallels, and 20 inserts or insert parallels per box on average.
Look for two different Hobby-exclusive case hit inserts – Stained Glass and Overdrive with top current and former Premier League players.
Boxes are on eBay now for around $285.
Also set for release: Topps Chrome Bundesliga Soccer (5/18); UEFA Champions League Soccer (5/25) and Leaf Memories Basketball (5/25).
